Every copy is a download: the physical edition is a code in a box. Millions redeeming codes and pulling a 100 GB plus install in the same 24 hours is the kind of load that has knocked over Netflix (the Extended Look premiere) and PSN before.
Resolves YES if both of these happen: the official PlayStation Network status page or the Xbox status page shows an incident (any status other than all services operational) touching sign-in, the store or downloads between 11:00 UTC on 18 November and 00:00 UTC on 21 November 2026, and at least two of IGN, Eurogamer, VGC, The Verge and Bloomberg publish an article during that window calling it an outage or saying the service is down.
Source: status.playstation.com, support.xbox.com/status and the outlets named.
Closes at 11:00 UTC on Wednesday 18 November 2026, the hour the game first unlocks in New Zealand, so nothing here can be known before the close. Settles by 23 November 2026.
If Rockstar delays the game past 31 December 2026, voids and refunds.
