FORESEE

Privacy policy

Last updated 27 July 2026. Plain words, same as the rest of the site.

The short version:

  • Foresee is play money. There are no payments, so no card or bank data.
  • We collect your email, your handle, and what you bet on. That's roughly it.
  • We don't sell your data and we don't run ad trackers.
  • Email [email protected]and we'll delete your account and everything attached to it.

Who runs Foresee

Foresee is an early-access, play-money prediction market. The operating entity is not yet named publicly on this page.

If you are in the UK or EU, you have the right to know who the data controller is. Until that is published here, treat [email protected]as the contact of record, and ask us directly, we'll tell you.

What we collect

If you join the waitlist: your email address, and which page you signed up from.

If you create an account: your email address, a password (stored hashed, never in plain text), the handle you pick, and optionally a short bio and a profile picture link.

As you use the site: the markets you bet on, the amounts, your balance history, comments you post, markets you create, and which markets you swipe away. This is the product, a prediction market with no record of your predictions would not be one.

Automatically: a session cookie so you stay signed in, and your IP address. Your IP is used as a counter to stop one person hammering the site, and to secure your login session.

If you turn on notifications: a push subscription for that browser, which you can revoke from your browser settings.

We do not collect location, contacts, or anything from your device beyond the above. There is no advertising network and no third-party analytics tracker on this site.

Why we're allowed to hold it

Your email and password exist so you can log in and so we can reach you about your account, that's us performing the contract you entered by signing up. Your betting history is the service itself. IP-based rate limiting and session security are our legitimate interest in keeping the site standing up. The waitlist is your consent, withdrawable at any time by asking.

Where it lives

The database is hosted by Neon on AWS infrastructure in the United States (us-east-1). The site itself runs on Vercel. If you are in the UK or EU, your data is therefore transferred to and stored in the US.

Who else sees it

Only the services needed to run the thing:

  • Neon, hosts the database.
  • Vercel, hosts the site and processes requests.
  • Resend, sends login and notification emails. Receives your email address.
  • Anthropic, powers two small AI features. It is sent market questions, and, if you use the generated-bio feature, your handle and a summary of your trading pattern. It is never sent your email address or password.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or hand it to anyone else unless a law requires it.

How long we keep it

Account data stays until you delete your account. Waitlist emails stay until you ask us to remove them or the waitlist closes. Rate-limiting counters, which include IP addresses, roll over on their own within days. Deleting your account removes your profile, positions and comments; anonymised market totals may remain, because a market's price history can't be unpicked without rewriting everyone else's.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. In the UK and EU (UK GDPR / GDPR) you can also object to processing, ask us to restrict it, and complain to your data protection authority, in the UK that is the ICO. In California (CCPA/CPRA) you can ask what we've collected and ask us to delete it; we don't sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.

One email to [email protected]covers all of it. We'll respond within 30 days.

Cookies

Two, both strictly necessary: one keeps you signed in, one remembers your light or dark theme. No tracking or advertising cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner.

Children

Foresee isn't for under-16s. We don't knowingly collect their data, if you think we have, email [email protected]and we'll delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and tell account holders by email. Foresee is early access and still moving; this page is kept in step with what the code actually does.
