Chance over time
Storefront listings show local-midnight unlocks, which puts New Zealand first at 11:00 UTC on 18 November. Xbox region switching has been the launch-eve ritual since Red Dead Redemption 2.
Resolves YES if at least two of IGN, Eurogamer, VGC, Kotaku, Polygon or The Verge report that players were playing the retail game on Xbox via a region change before 00:00 ET on 19 November 2026. A worldwide simultaneous unlock, or Microsoft blocking the trick, resolves NO.

Closes at 11:00 UTC on Wednesday 18 November 2026, the hour the game first unlocks in New Zealand, so nothing here can be known before the close. Settles on 19 November 2026.
If Rockstar delays the game past 31 December 2026, voids and refunds.
