Will the Game of the Year category have exactly six nominees at The Game Awards 2026?

Six every year since 2018. The rules make five the base and add nominees on ties, so a seven is possible and a five would be a first in eight years.

Resolves YES if the official 2026 list shows exactly six Game of the Year nominees at the time it is first published.

Source: the official 2026 nominee list at thegameawards.com/nominees, as first published, or the official nominations announcement on The Game Awards' YouTube or X accounts if the site lags. A nominee later withdrawn still counts as nominated.

Closes at 23:59 UTC on Sunday 15 November 2026. The nominees are expected on Monday 16 November at 9 a.m. Pacific; if they are published before the close, trading stops at publication and the market settles on the list.

If no 2026 nominee list is published by 30 November 2026, voids and refunds.
