Every winner since 2018 has scored 90 or higher: Elden Ring 96, Baldur's Gate 3 96, Astro Bot 94, Clair Obscur 92. This year's field tops out at 91 unless GTA VI arrives in the high 90s.
Resolves YES if the Metacritic score of the Game of the Year winner on its lead platform (the first platform listed on its Metacritic page) is 90 or higher at 23:59 Pacific on 10 December 2026.
